About the Tennessee Technology Center at Nashville
Serving Nashville and surrounding counties, the Tennessee Technology Center at Nashville is one of twenty-six Technology Centers established through legislation passed by the General Assembly in 1963.
Formerly known as State Area Vocational-Technical Schools, each Technology Center is strategically located in a manner designed to serve Tennessee residents in a broad geographical area. The State Department of Education initially governed the vocational-technical schools. In July 1983, the schools were transferred to the Tennessee Board of Regents, the seventh largest system of higher education in the United States.
We are committed to offering a quality educational experience in a compassionate and respectful environment. Our programs and services are designed to instill character, dignity, and competence. The Tennessee Technology Centers has served over 35,000 students.
